Dance Instructor | Performing Arts Educator | Bridge to the Arts After-School Specialist

Ms. Sophie brings a wealth of experience in dance, theatre, and education to her work at MindBodyArt. Now entering her third season with us, Sophie is a dynamic and dedicated faculty member who blends artistry, education, and heart into every class and after-school session she leads.

A lifelong performer and passionate educator, Ms. Sophie trained in contemporary ballet at Bodiography School of Dance in Pittsburgh from the age of 2 through 18, and expanded her training in Broadway jazz, Fosse, and classic jazz technique at prestigious institutions including Pittsburgh Musical Theatre, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, and Stagedoor Manor in New York—where she trained alongside notable performers such as Lea Michele, Robert Downey Jr., Mandy Moore, and Ben Platt.

Her performance and choreographic work spans regional theatre across Pittsburgh, State College, and New York. In addition to her work at MindBodyArt, Sophie is a choreographer and performer with Penn State Thespian Society and currently serves as Public Relations Chair and Alumni Liaison for No Refund Theatre.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Special Education from Penn State and is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Special Education. As our Bridge to the Arts After-School Specialist, Sophie uses her background in human development and community engagement to create enriching, supportive environments where students can thrive creatively and collaboratively.

Ms. Sophie is thrilled to continue her work with our students and families, and looks forward to another exciting year of inspiring connection, confidence, and joy in the arts.
