MindBodyArt Faculty | Dance Instructor | Penn State Student
Ms. Lauren, a proud native of State College, PA, began her dance journey as a student at MindBodyArt, training for 15 years at both MindBodyArt and Centre Dance. While at MindBodyArt, Ms. Lauren studied Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Contemporary. During her high school years, she danced on the Monarchs competition team, earning numerous awards and recognitions at prestigious competitions including Artists Simply Human, Radix, and NYCDA. Her experiences as a performer instilled in her a deep love for dance and a desire to share that passion with others.
Ms. Lauren graduated from State College Area High School in 2023 and is now pursuing her Master’s in Architectural Engineering at Penn State, with an option in Construction Management, a minor in Engineering Leadership Development, and a certificate in International Engineering. At Penn State, Ms. Lauren thrives both academically and creatively—she is on the executive board for Volé Dance Company, where she serves as schedule coordinator, choreographs, and performs as a member of their audition-based Performance Company. She also serves on the executive board for the Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence as the 3rd-year representative, is a member of Engineering Ambassadors participating in outreach to children, and is an Engineering Global Fellow helping students explore study abroad programs. Ms. Lauren has studied abroad in Santiago, Chile, and Sydney, Australia, and will soon be in Rome, Italy. She is also applying her skills professionally as an intern with the Construction Management team for the Beaver Stadium renovation.
At MindBodyArt, Ms. Lauren shares her love of dance and creativity with students as an instructor for Shining Stars classes and lyrical. She is an incredible role model, inspiring dancers to dream big and showing them what is possible at the collegiate and professional levels. Ms. Lauren truly enjoys guiding and mentoring young dancers, and she is thrilled to be returning for her third season at MindBodyArt. Outside of dance, she enjoys spending time with friends, practicing yoga and Pilates, and snowboarding—activities that fuel her energy, creativity, and zest for life.
