Sarah Arcona is a passionate dance educator and award-winning choreographer specializing in jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and leaps & turns. She brings years of performance, teaching, and choreography experience to every class, creating a positive and inspiring environment where dancers are encouraged to grow both technically and artistically.
A graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance, Sarah has trained extensively in contemporary, jazz, ballet, modern, lyrical, tap, hip hop, and acrobatics. Throughout her collegiate career, she performed in numerous university productions, including Celebration of Dance, Dance Now, and the Spring Showcase, while also representing WVU at the American College Dance Association (ACDA) conferences. Her training has extended internationally through immersive experiences with Batsheva Dance Company, Kamea Dance Company, and Kabootz Contemporary Dance Company in Israel.
Sarah began teaching and choreographing at just fifteen years old and has since taught at several studios throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and West Virginia, including Premier Performing Arts, M&M Dance Academy, Kat & Co., and Dance Expressions. She has also served as a Teaching Assistant for the West Virginia University Dance Program, assisting with Fundamentals of Jazz, and has choreographed for West Virginia University's Celebration of Dance and Spring Showcase, as well as for the Hackettstown Dance Team. Her choreography has earned multiple awards for creativity, artistry, and excellence.
Sarah believes that dance is about much more than technique—it's about building confidence, discipline, creativity, and a lifelong love of movement. She is dedicated to helping every dancer reach their fullest potential while fostering a classroom culture built on encouragement, hard work, and passion.
Sarah recently relocated to the State College area and is excited to share her knowledge, energy, and love of dance with the next generation of performers at MindBodyArt.
