Ms. Jamiebegan her dance journey at the age of 3 at Crystal's School of Dance in eastern Pennsylvania. Trained in a wide range of styles—including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Hip Hop, Mojah, and Tumbling - Ms. Jamie’s dedication to movement and performance quickly evolved into a passion for choreography and teaching. She consistently continues her dance education through in-person classes at Broadway Dance Center, as well as online resources and workshops, ensuring her students benefit from the most current techniques and trends.
Ms. Jamie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University, where she furthered her dance training in Modern and Mojah styles. While at Penn State, she performed in local theater productions such as Cultural Conversations, attended the American College Dance Festival Association Conference, and performed with and choreographed for Ambitions Dance. From 2019 to 2021, Jamie performed with the Allied Motion Dance Company in Altoona, PA, enriching her professional experience and performance repertoire.
In 2010, Ms. Jamie discovered yoga and quickly recognized its transformative benefits. She is a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified instructor and Aerial Yoga Certified, and has further expanded her expertise with YPAD certification and CPR/AED training. She embraces the mindful and anatomical insights of yoga to enhance her dance instruction, helping students grow stronger, safer, and more aware of their bodies.
A valued member of the MindBodyArt Faculty for 9 years, Ms. Jamie brings her passion for choreography, movement education, and continuous learning to every class. Now residing in State College with her husband, she can often be found cheering on Penn State football during fall weekends.
