​Musical Theatre Camp Descriptions

• Alice & the White Rabbit:  Curiouser and curiouser... don't be late for this summer camp inspired by a classic tale of Alice in Wonderland!  After following the White Rabbit into Wonderland, Alice is on a journey to find the Queen’s palace and her way home.  With the White Rabbit by her side, as well as the “imaginations” from our campers, Alice can surely make it to the Queen’s party on time.  Musical! Campers will help construct props and scenery for our end-of-week performance where we will showcase our singing, dancing and acting.

 

• Chillin' Like a Villain:  This Musical Theatre camp will have your child Chillin' like a Villain grooving out to their favorite songs from the Disney Descendants movies!  Campers will help construct props and scenery for our end-of-week performance where we will showcase our singing, dancing and acting.

• The Greatest Show:  This week will be like none other!  Campers will seek to understand what it means to dream big and have a grand vision for their lives through the music and theatre training they will receive in this powerful camp.  Campers will learn scenes, songs & choreography from the hit movie The Greatest Showman in addition to experiencing swinging in the aerial silks.  Don't miss out on this energy filled week at MBA!  There will be an end-of-week performance showcase where their new learnings and skills will be showcased!

• A Musical Seussical:  Come dance and sing selections from Seussical the musical and bring characters and stories to life from the books of Dr. Seuss!   Join us for a wacky week of energy and creativity as we explore the world of Dr. Seuss.   Campers will learn to develop a character and create their own part in a scene as we select favorite moments from the world of Dr. Seuss. All will have a marvelous time learning to dance and sing along to the upbeat songs from Seussical the Musical! Campers will help construct props and scenery for our end-of-week performance where we will showcase our singing, dancing and acting.

• Simba's Journey:  This creative and interactive musical theatre summer camp will excite and inspire children who love Simba from the Lion King.  We will use our imaginations to create new exciting adventures for Simba and meet new heroes and villains along the way. Students can even create props and costumes to bring their story to life, all while learning fundamentals such as character development, collaboration, and improvisation as well as dance and vocal basics.  This fun-filled week will end with an amazing musical theatre performance!

• Be Our Guest:   Join us for an enchanting week of energy and creativity while we dance and sing selections from Beauty & the Beast and bring the magical characters and stories to life!  Campers will have a marvelous time learning to develop a character and create their own part in a scene as we select favorite moments of Belle's adventures.  Campers will be delighted to share their end-of-week performance where we will showcase our singing, dancing and acting.

• Dorothy & Toto in OZ:  Camp inspired by the classic story, The Wizard of Oz. Theatre games, stories, improv, dancing, singing, crafts and more. The Wizard of Oz chronicles the adventures of a young farm girl named Dorothy in the magical Land of Oz, after she and her pet dog Toto are swept away from their Kansas home by a cyclone.  This fun-filled week will end with an amazing musical theatre performance!

• Follow the Yellow Brick Road:  Follow the yellow brick road with Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion as they go on their quest for what their hearts most desire. Students will sing songs, perform scenes and act out this classic tale while learning about story sequencing and expression through vocal and physical exploration. This fun-filled week will end with an amazing musical theatre performance!

       

 

Musical Theatre Camps have a magical way of building confidence, empathy, and community with their fellow performers and also the audience.

 

At MindBodyArt, we work to create a nurturing and fun environment for kids. Our students will develop musical theatre skills, learn to collaborate with others as an ensemble and perform in a showcase.
